Emerging Markets Will Perform Well “Broadly” Amid Strengthening Economy

Elections across Latin America, the Asian economy and general risk aversion for global investors. 2018 has a lot in store for emerging markets, particularly as negotiations around the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) continue on. Headwinds could be on the horizon for Mexico, the biggest trading partner of the US.

David Lafferty, Chief Market Strategist of Natixis Investment Managers, spoke exclusively to Emerging Market Views on this and more, including potential factors around event-specific risks in 2018. “You don’t want to be taking too much risk in a portfolio.”
