Emerging Market Media Associates, LLC, (EMMA,) the parent company of Emerging Market Views (www.em-views.com, “EM Views”) provides this Privacy Policy to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information we receive from users of and visitors to www.em-views.com (This “Site”). This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the Site. You are advised to consult this policy regularly for any changes. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Service and are fully enforceable under all applicable laws of the 50 United States of America and the federal district (Washington, D.C.).

Information
When you sign up/subscribe to one of our newsletters, join as a Member, or attend a company or brand event, Emerging Market Media will utilize what we collect to allow us to carry out and fulfill this specific request. This information will typically include a first and surname, an active email address, company affiliation and location (country/province/state).
You may in some instances be invited to submit additional information about yourself, but this is always and will remain completely at your/the user/subscriber/member/ discretion.
We will store your information either until you unsubscribe (there will always be an option to opt-out in every email sent out) or if you have not opened an email from us within a 12-month period.
Processing
We use a secure and compliant third-party software (Campaign Monitor) platform to help us process data submitted to Emerging Market Media and any of its subsidiaries.
Website and Subsidiaries
We collect information about traffic flows to websites owned by Emerging Market Media (for example, Emerging Market Views, the firms flagship editorial product), using Google Analytics, which is a web analytics tool that helps the company better understand how visitors/users engage with our website.
We use this information solely to help us improve our website(s) and the user experience that it provides. This information is aggregated, anonymized and strictly confidential. Emerging Market Media cannot access personal information such as IP addresses.
For additional protection, Emerging Market Media’s main and owned/operated websites are SSL certified.
Information Collection and Use
Our primary goal(s) in collecting information are to provide and improve our Site, services, features and content (together, the “Service”) and to enable users to enjoy and easily navigate the Site.
Personally Identifiable Information
When you register to be included on our email/electronic mailing list(s) through the Site, we may ask you for personally identifiable information (full legal name, country, etc.). This refers to information about you that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Information”). Personal Information includes, but is not limited to, your email address. We use your Personal Information mainly to provide the Service and administer your inquiries.

We do not and will not, at any time, request your credit card information, an account ID, a login password, or national identification numbers in a non-secure or unsolicited e-mail or telephone communication. Information Sharing and Disclosure
Aggregate Information and Non-Identifying Information. We may share aggregated information that does not include Personal Information and we may otherwise disclose Non-Identifying Information and Log Data with third parties for industry analysis, demographic profiling and other purposes. Any aggregated information shared in these contexts will not contain your Personal Information.
Service Providers and Plug-Ins. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Site-related services (e.g., without limitation, maintenance services, database management, forum and comment management, e-mail newsletter management, web analytics and improvement of the Site’s features) or to assist us in analyzing how our Site and Service are used. Compliance with applicable Laws and Law Enforcement. Emerging Market Media, LLC and its entities cooperates with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, at our sole discretion, should we believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of Emerging Market Media Associates, LLC or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, any illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity.
Business Transfers. Emerging Market Media Associates, LLC may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including your Personal Information, in connection with a completed merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of a bankruptcy filing, procedure and or bankruptcy conclusion. You will have the opportunity to opt out of any such transfer if the new entity’s planned processing of your information differs materially from that set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Our Policy towards Children
This Site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16.
